Bill Heath formed Macro as part of the Mace Group in 2002 and is a member of the consultancy board.
He has more than 30 years experience in the construction, property and service based industries in the UK and overseas. He's spent last 14 years in a leading management role in the FM industry, developing and growing a facilities/infrastructure management and consultancy company (CBX). The result of a management buyout from Xerox in 1994, CBX grew from 30 to 300 employees and increased turnover from £10m to £70m before it was sold to the Sulzer Corporation in December 1998.
In 2001 Bill joined Bovis Lend Lease to develop a strategy for the growth of an FM business and then, in late 2002, he formed Macro with three colleagues and the support of Mace. Rapid success has been achieved in developing a business that turned over more than £40m in 2007 and is highly regarded within the FM sector.
