Role: Director
David Bill joined Mace in 2004 and was appointed to the consultancy board in January 2008. He heads up the education sector and has responsibility for delivering Mace's project management and multi-disciplinary consultancy services to local and central government clients.
David started his career as a British Army officer and subsequently worked across south east Asia for a business-to-business service group, re-engineering and outsourcing banking operations. During this period he formed the first joint-venture in Asia to outsource central bank cash operations. He returned to UK to complete a full-time MBA then joined the structured finance division of a major UK construction services group. For three years he was involved with the winning and operating of PPP/PFI projects, primarily in transport and defence.
On joining Mace he led the group's push into the Building Schools for the Future and academies consulting markets. David has a particular interest in programme management and effective governance in complex public sector programmes.
