Simon Lazare joined Mace in 1998 and was invited to join the Mace Group's consultancy and international boards in 2006 having successfully developed key account relationships with some major global companies.
Prior to joining Mace Simon ran a business specialising in complex projects for a major contracting company. He has extensive cross sector project experience in the industrial/manufacturing/process and commercial office markets including fit out and civil engineering works.
As head of the industrial and pharmaceutical sector, Simon is responsible for global account management for companies including ExxonMobil, Lafarge (formally Blue Circle Industries) and BG Group. Clients are offered services including consultancy, project management, construction management, cost management and claims management.
Other major industrial and pharmaceutical sector clients include Novera, Italcementi, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Steppe Cement, with project values ranging from a few million dollars to billions.
Simon is heavily involved in the emerging market in the Republic of Kazakhstan and for industrial and pharmaceutical sector work in Africa where the Mace Group has had a presence since 2000. His team also manages projects in the UK, mainland europe and the far east.
He has developed the business by looking at the wider objectives of client needs, working closely with the client organisation to encourage them to provide clear project briefs leading to solutions which fulfil the business objectives with buy-in from the stakeholders and alignment of the objectives of other companies involved in the process.
