Construction Engineer needed for prestigious station redevelopment

The Role:

Mace works on some of the most prestigious high profile projects in the UK. The Construction Engineer will provide technical support, design management and project management to a prestigious station redevelopment.

The Requirements:

Requirements:• Carrying out pre-construction studies including the concept design of temporary works, working alongside the Mace planners in developing construction strategies and sequences.• Implementation of the pre-contruction studies through the design and construction phases of projects.• Project management of structural packages.• Design Management of structural elements.• Develop good relationship between design consultants, client and Network Rail.• Carry out Network Rail procedures for design, construction, inspection, testing and quality.• Value Engineering Consultants designs for buildability.• Reviewing and acceptance of contractor Method Statements and temporary works.• On site support to Construction Managers.• Seek out and resolve design and construction interface issues before they become issues.• Supporting temporary works coordinators.• Reporting to project director and project managers as appropriate.Qualities / Attributes:• Team player• Motivated• Adaptable• EnthusiasticMinimum Qualification:• MIstructE / MICEExperience:• Demonstrable experience in a Network Rail environment• Permanent and Temporary works design
