Estimator required for Mace Plus
The Role:
Mace Plus is the contracting arm of the Mace Group working on projects between £5 and £80 Million on both 2-stage and lump sum contract forms. Their greatest asset is their people and therefore they spend a lot of time making sure they have the best teams to meet their clients' expectations. They can offer exciting challenges whilst encouraging their staff to develop and enhance their own skills to meet the ever-changing needs of the construction industry, and its associated support services.
The company operates at the leading edge in a number of specialist areas of the industry, including local authority frameworks, schools, academies, commercial office space and retail. Consistent with their continuing commitment to Investors In People (IIP), they pride themselves on having achieved exemplary practices in managing their people.
They have a long established and respected record offering a wide range of training and development opportunities. As people are the key to success, their challenge is to provide the necessary skills to develop their talents to the full.
The Requirements:
They therefore welcome new recruits with the appropriate skills and attitude to make a positive contribution to this growing and profitable company. The role of Estimator involves winning work through preparing priced tender documents and proposals for a wide range of construction projects under various forms of commercial contract, but predominantly single stage. The desirable attributes of an Estimator are a detailed understanding of the construction process, a knowledge of how materials, labour and plant are costed, an appreciation of various types of commercial forms of contract, computer literacy and an analytical, methodical yet commercially astute approach.
Mace Group is an equal opportunities employer.
