Bob White Mace Group Non-Executive Chairman

Bob is a founder member of Mace and non-executive chairman. He is also chairman of Constructing Excellence which is the leading corporate membership organisation for the UK construction industry. Bob brings with him a wealth of experience within the architecture, building and construction sectors.

Bob is a RIBA-chartered architect and, following completion of his RIBA Part III, he began his career working for Nottinghamshire County Council within its architecture unit.

In 1980, Bob joined Bovis Construction (now Bovis Lend Lease). There, he was involved in many interesting, high-profile projects, including the Lloyds of London redevelopment project in the city, and the Broadgate project.

Bob is also the Chairman of nCRISP (the new Construction Research and Innovation Strategy Panel) and the national technology platform support group. He is a visiting lecturer at the University College of London's Bartlett School.

He now has non-executive director roles with Basepoint, a small development company and Rockpools and has created a new company called Constructing Futures which specialises in policy delivery for sustainable communities.

In addition to his contribution to the Mace success story, Bob has achieved a position as a high profile leader within the UK's construction industry.

Bob lives in Essex with his wife Jacqueline and three teenage children. His main interest outside of work is sport, particularly football and he is a season ticket holder for West Ham United.
