Macro is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Brumby who replaces Bill Heath as managing director this month. The changes at the top of the Mace Group's facilities management arm are to enable Bill to relocate to Dubai to expand Macro's business into the Middle East.
Peter Brumby was one of the four founders of Macro back in 2002 and for many is the natural successor for the UK based facilities management firm.
Bill Heath said of his new venture: "These markets are an exciting prospect for business today and particularly FM. As you can imagine I'm looking forward to this challenge. I would like to say a special thank you to everyone who has joined Macro and fm24; without your efforts these companies wouldn't be the success they are today. I wish you all great success and happiness in the future."
As non executive chairman, Bill will remain involved in the Macro business going forward.
Stephen Pycroft, chief executive of the Mace Group, added: "We are delighted that Bill will remain the non-executive chairman of Macro and continue to be involved with the company's development. I would like to thank Bill on behalf of the group board for his efforts in creating a success of Macro over the past five years. The company has played an important role in our integrated service offer strategy."
Of his new challenge Peter said: ¨I am honoured to be appointed managing director of Macro. It is a great platform to build upon of which I know Bill is very proud. Macro has great people, fantastic client relationships and a great track record. I am very excited to be taking over the reigns at this point in our development. My focus will be on getting the message out to the market that Macro offers something completely different from the competition.¨
