Feeding Aldi’s success

Mace's experienced retail team is continuing its successful relationship with Aldi Stores Ltd to deliver new stores across Scotland in 2008.

With over 5,000 stores across the world Aldi is an international leader in grocery retailing and its operations in Scotland are expanding.

Mace has been appointed as construction manager for the roll-out programme which includes the procurement, cost management and construction delivery of each store within fast track programme requirements typical for the fast moving retail sector.

It is Aldi's intention to open 8-12 new stores per year until its current distribution facility capable of dealing with 100 stores is at its full capacity.

Aldi is currently procuring sites to suit single stores of a 1125m² sales floor area, with larger sites being procured with a variety of mixed construction development opportunities.

Mace's strong track record in retail store roll-outs puts us in a great place to deliver for Aldi.

Features:

  • Design and development of new concept store in a structural steelwork frame, composite cladding and architectural glazing.
  • Fast track procurement and construction
  • Ratification of direct supply procurement items to provide a seamless solution
  • Conclusion of a fixed amenity area design
  • Project types include new build, extentions, and fit-outs
  • Demolition and clearance of existing sites
  • Infrastructure and civil engineering works
