World Trade Centre puts ever growing Dubai on the map
Mace was engaged in January 2006 as the project and cost manager for the first three phases of the Dubai Word Trade Centre District for client Dubai World Trade Centre (LLC).
The Dubai Trade Centre District is a redevelopment of a premium site in the heart of the Dubai business district currently comprising the Dubai World Trade Centre convention and exhibition halls, apartment buildings and the landmark Trade Centre Tower building. The redevelopment will be split into six phases. Phase one will comprise a dense urban streetscape environment of high rise luxury hotels, concierge apartments, and resort club alongside an additional upscale hotel and a budget 3* hotel. The centre zones of phase one will comprise an office district of low to medium rise buildings and high quality retail outlets at ground floor level. The whole project sits upon a four level subterranean carpark.
Phase two is a prime location adjacent the famous Emirates Towers. A signature building is planned for this site which will comprise a luxury hotel and serviced apartment building alongside prime office space.
Phase three fronts the Sheik Zayed Road and will add significantly more office and retail space to the overall development.
Completion is scheduled for December 2012.
