Information

For client, DCLG (The Department for Communities and Local Government, formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) Como was appointed to refurbish Eland House. The project was design and build and Como was involved in developing the project brief in conjunction with the client’s project team and our chosen design team.

With works being carried out in an occupied building a robust phasing plan was developed to ensure minimum disruption to occupants. New office areas and meeting rooms were provided while vending facilities and finishes were upgraded. Computer monitors were changed to FST technology and Como assisted with the space planning to accommodate this.

Communication with the building’s FM team and the users was key to ensuring this project was a success and the Como team did everything possible to minimize impact on those working in the building.
