Towering achievements
In 2007 Mace delivered the world's largest single phased residential scheme for client Dubai Properties.
Described as a lifestyle destination, the £900m Jumeirah Beach development programme incorporates hotels, residential, retail and leisure facilities together with associated transportation infrastructure and some commercial office space. The site, situated on the shores of The Gulf, occupies two million square metres and is 1.7km in overall length. The development includes 35 towers of up to 46 storeys in height, four hotels; a district cooling system; and extensive infrastructure work that includes a landmark bridge.
Mace was responsible for coordinating the work of more than forty two thousand people and for delivering a three-year fast track programme of activity. Mace also provided all cost management consultancy services associated with the development.
